Babe, Calm Down

As tears streamed down my face, I snatched my keys from the nightstand and stormed down the hall.

“Aurora,” He called out, hot on my tail as I reached the door.

She wasn’t far behind when she said, “Babe, just calm down.”

Calm down?!.

I scoffed and opened the door, slamming it behind me as I stomped all the way to my car. The tears continued to flow, and I doubt they would stop anytime soon. I couldn’t believe the nerve of them. After all that I did for them, and they turn around and celebrate valentine's day without me. My heart felt like it was ripped in half, and my feelings were all over the place. I was upset with both of them, and I couldn’t decide who I was more upset with. Last night, I cooked them dinner to show them how much I appreciated both of them, in their own special ways.

Ezra was this tall, dark man and whenever he was near I felt so safe. His presence demanded your attention, and he didn’t have to match your stare for you to feel beckoned to existence. His confidence radiated as much as handsome, pearly whites. When he put in his bottom grills, I wanted to do nothing more than give him another reason to smile. Not only was he handsome, but he was so thoughtful and considerate. He recently got me these new pair of shoes I’ve been hoarding in my cart for months. He never made me feel less than, and could make my body sing the highest praises every time our bodies collided in euphoric pleasure.

Then, there was Alex. She was the one who had a way of always tugging on my heart strings, claiming me as hers without muttering a word. We were about the same height, but her thick curves and long, curly hair gave off this mysterious vibe. All she had to do was look into my eyes, and I felt like I was sinking into a pool of warm honey. Those bright, hazel orbs and that sexy smirk had me willing to risk it all. Our sexual chemistry was off the charts, but our emotional connection was like no other. We’ve shared intimate secrets that would never leave one another, and she was my go to person.

Ezra and Alex were so apprecaitve of my efforts, they couldn’t wait to get me in the room so we could make love to one another. When it was both of them in the same room, I lost count of how many times they would spur me into blissful submission. I was feasting on her flesh as he filled me from behind. My eyes constantly rolled in the back of my head, and Alex’s soft moans weren’t helping me. I came undone within minutes. If I was being honest, I wasn’t able to speak coherent words past that point. It only made it worse when they both spoke words of affirmation, making gentle caresses over every inch of my body. I became completely undone by teh time we were cuddling one another.

So, to wake up to overhearing them making plans without me really hurt my heart. I was grateful my phone was still in the house, because I knew they would both blow up my line until I answered. We all had boundaries, and rules, in our relationship. You couldn’t just spring a random date without communicating to everyone. When I tried to take Alex out, without telling Ezra, he was frustrated and had a whole fit. It was unfair and they knew what they did was wrong.

As time passed, my logical side began to kick in, pushing me to calm my nerves. They’ve never done something like this before. Maybe I was overreacting, since I didn’t give them the chance to explain themselves. They knew my temper was bad, and they both told me I should work on it, since I was always the one to pop off first. Taking deep breaths, I wiped my face and tried to calm down.

I couldn’t help it, I was a very passionate person and that wasn’t about to change. If my bright red hair didn’t give it away, my slick mouth surely would. It was a double edged sword, and they were aware. In fact, it was my sassy attitude and fiery appearance they were intinatlly attracted to. They’ve been so patient with me, and the least I could do was hear them out.

When I drove back home, I waited a beat before actually entering the threshold I stormed out of an hour ago. Treading quietly, I noticed both of them waiting patiently in our living room. Alex had her messy curls on top of her head in a messy bun, draped in her silk robe and Ezra had on his casual suit, since he had work in a few. Judging from their melancholy expressions, I knew they were anticpanig my arrival.

“I’m sorry.”

They both looked up, taking their time as they took me in. “ I shouldn’t have just walked out, but what I overhead hurt me.”

Ezra sighed, readjusting his tie. “Honey, we weren’t trying to do anything without you.” He was the first to stand up, checking his gold watch to keep track of the time. He walked up and gently pecked my forehead.

Alex uncrossed her legs and explained, “Babe, we were trying to surprise you with reservations with the place you sent me the other day. Remember you said you wanted to go?”

“Oh.”

Alex joked, “Yeah oh..” When she stood in front of me, she placed a small kiss on my lips. “What are we going to do with that temper of yours?”

Ezra shook his head before pulling us into a big hug, like he always did after our small quarrels. “I could think of a few things.”

Their subtle laughter caused my shameful frown to crack and my worries to subside.
